The Now Oviedo knights had their worst season statistically in their 10 year history in the league. Fought hard until last few weeks missing the championship playoffs. Reasons it didn't happen. Simple. INJURIES!! The 2 years I didn't make the playoffs I was hit with injuries very hard. Not going to replace solid pitchers and bats off WW and drafting near back every year leaves little room for error. Started the season down 4 solid players. It only got worse from there. Made a few moves and when my team was healthy it made huge strides. Then less then a month left in the regular season we lost more and that ended any chance. Now onto 2012. We have 10 keepers giving us a nice core players. OF is set.. Beltran (NT) and Sizemore (3/13) and Stubbs (NT) and Hart (NT). None of them will hit 30+ HR's but all are starter material. Now the question mark.. Padro Alvarez. I see 2011 as a sophmore slump and so does Pittsburgh. They plan on giving him the job again and so do I. Way too much talent to bust. 2B I have a log jam. Having 2 guys in the top 10 at 2B is nice but its probably not going to be there come draft time. Plans are to move one of the 2 guys. So either Walker or Kendrick will be gone before the draft. Most likely Kendrick. Morrow and Oswalt are solid pitchers. Owsalt gives me a good ERA/WHIP and Morrow gives me K's. Walden gives me 1 closer he could go for right price.
So leading into meetings the Knights are looking to make a few moves. Move a 2B and possible move up in the draft. Will also listen to moving back if the price is right but given we need a 5 year I doubt we move back. We don't have a good draft spot for missing playoffs but its not as bad as years past.

You OF may be set as long as Sizemore rides the pine. The upside is Stubbs may lead the league in strikeouts....wait a minute, that's not good is it? OF will be good but no where near elite. Saw a shirt that said "Vote for Pedro" and in small print it said ...to be traded for anything you can get. Rumor has it Storlie is interested. Oswalt needs to find a home and doesn't impress in any category anymore. I agree....try and trade up for a five year.
LOL. I love trash talking from a team that sits in LOTTERY world. Earth to Renner. Before you talk shit you really need to have done something. I love Stubbs.. 40SB guy with 15+HR power. He was a 20+HR and 30+ SB guy on 2010. There is a reason hes going top 100 ADP.. Sizemore is a risk.. I agree. I will roll dice with him because he has no value.
Didn't know talking trash was only allowed by the "GOOD" teams. I must have missed that memo. What's not to love from a guy that hits less than .250 has less than 50 RBI and strikes out 200+ times. Only real value over many others is in SB. To each is own though. At this time of year every team is a winner.
