Draft Picks 5.16 - 10.16

As the draft moves to the 2nd half here is how we ended the first half..


5.16 Johnny Cueto SP - Finally able to put a good year together this could be his breakout season. He has solid numbers all around. A sub 4 ERA and 1.2+ WHIP will give me a nice 3rd OF. Decent K's also.

6.16 Manny Ramirez OF - Manny was left for dead by most owners because of his past season and his age and drop in numbers. Few reasons to think he will bounce back.. Now healthy again and full time DH. Should be able to stay healthy and 20+ Homers possible. Not bad for a 5th OF.

7.10 Mike Adams RP - We have followed the same plan each year. Draft solid offense and great pen. We continued by taking Mike Adams but this year seems to be the year of the pen as more MR gone before round 10 then I have ever seen. Adams great K's and Holds. Might close by mid season..

7.16 Neil Walker 2B - Here is a guy passed up on to many times. He could produce 2nd round numbers in the 7th. I am sure many teams would love to have taken him. upwards of 20HR and 80 RBI.. Worst case I have trade bait. Best case I have options platooning..

8.16 Jeff Niemann SP - Had him last year and was an ACE for the first half and then got hurt. Came back and struggled. Now healthy again. I could have ACE like poduction at 8th round ot to shaby for a 4th SP..

9.16 Octavio Dotel RP - Solid MR/Closer. Will give me a ton of K's and maybe either Saves or Holds but regardless very valuable.

10.16 Jame McDonald SP - Lots of upset people I took him. Will look to build on 2nd half numbers. Breakout near? I think so. Sub 4 ERA. Solid K's. a K SP this late is rare and not without risk..
