Well this was a very odd season for my Mets. The YTD stats we were one of the worst teams. Starting out dead last in many offense stats really made us have an uphill battle that was unable to make up. We made some key moves. First one was moving Gio Gonzalez for Casey Blake. That really didnt work out well for me. Next was critical. Moving Sizemore for Hart and Hart had a career year. One mister Wagner wishes he had back. Next I moved Ely and Bailey for Ortiz and Gregerson. Both were HUGE in changing my teams offense and Holds. Then I made a minor deal moving FA pickup Lucroy for Schumaker who helpped me in tough times.. Then Ross for Hammel who did the same but the biggest one was Sandoval for Bautista. This one might have helpped me win it all. Still the eSeries MVP was my round 10 pick of Juan Pierre. I got most of his stats predicted correctly but his SB beat my expectations.. There is a lot of luck in the playoffs but I think my team did enough to win it. I looked at the other 2 teams in the final 4 and I would have beaten all those teams also. With the Squirrels being the closest game. With that said I have finally won it again after making championship playoffs 5 years in a row.
It goes to show you how hard it is to win it all even down to 6 teams. Next year picking last I once again will have my work cut out for me. I do have a lot of keepers. C/2SS/3B/1B/2OF/DH/RP. The key to my win this year was all the great finds I got in the 2nd half of the draft. Most of the SP were on my team and starting from beginning to end. Since I have no SP and most of the times solid SP are available late round 1. I might break my rule of not drafting a SP in round one or I might move back to get another pick.. Cabrera will be moved as I don't need 2 SS. I hope to get a 4th for him.. So with 2010 closed. Lets begin preparing for 2011.. I have to defend my championship. This could be my last streak and have to rebuild for 2012..
