New Jersey's Mock Draft

Yes I will put my .02 into this years draft.... As we all know it is very hard to predict a draft like this due to the variables in the keepers..


1.1 Wisconsin Brewers (AKA Red Necks) - 3B Evan Longoria Justin has a pretty easy pick here. Had Longoria in past and still needs a 3B. This is probably one of the easiest picks to predict. Even a Red Neck could do this. :)

1.2 Julian Javelina - 1B Joey Votto Hoyle has been active in the meetings. Having a 2011 plan and it will make him a lot better then but hurt this year. Team still looking to move a few more guys to get ready for draft. That being said Votto is going to be a fine replacement for Gonzalez.

1.3 Michigan Miracles - 2B Ian Kinsler This is a perfect spot for Miracles. They will select the top 2B in the draft. Solid pick to add with Alexei who they got in the meetings.. Now if they can off a contract or 3. They should be in better shape.

1.4 Carolina Yankees - 2B Brandon Phillips I bet Carolina was hoping Kinsler will fall but you can't complain about Phillips. I thought he ahd him before also.. Solid 2B and the next best hitter in the draft. Would be nice to see Carolina trim some fat before end of meetings though..

1.5 South Texas Heat - 1B/3B Kevin Youkilis Berg gets the guy he was looking for in the draft and will give him the opportunity to move Wright or Davis now if he wants.. Team is in need of a solid SP as you can not trust Kazmir. Hurt all the time and what role will Morrow play??

1.6 Dallas Redbirds - SP Zack Greinke Doyel moved Webb for 2 reasons. First was the worry about the arm and the second was cause he knew he could get a stud SP. Look for a 3 year on him..

1.7 Springfield Flying Squirrels of Republic - 3B Ryan Zimmerman They could go in a few directions here. The best SP available is King Felix but something tells me he is going to go hitter and with that said look for him to take the best 3B left in Zimmerman.

1.8 Mid Michigan Tigers - OF Andre Either This is a good pick here. He needs an OF.. and Either is still getting better every year. had Ichiro but I cant see Keith taking him..

1.9 Encinitas Beach Bums - SP Felix Hernandez Team is in bad shape and needs to turn it around. Look for Darrent to lock up the best SP in the draft especially this far back. His only downfall is injury concerns.

1.10 Rochester Red Sox - OF Adam Jones Rochester has said he wants to get younger. Well jones is a nice addition. He will provide 20+ power and maybe 15SB.. Might be a 3 year guy here..

1.11 Wisconsin Brewers - OF Bobby Abreu This pick has Storlie all over him. A solid 5x5 guy and will help in all areas. Question is will he put a 3 year on this aging wonder??

1.12 San Antonio Fire Ants - RP Jonathan Papelbon Of the players left non is needed by this team. If I was him i would move back some. Yet its hard to argue about getting the top RP in the draft... Will help this team in the long run.

1.13 Olivet Killer Eagles - OF Carlos Lee This is a perfect fit for him. He had him the last few years and even though hes coming down from elite having only 1 OF and Beltran probably out first month a solid OF is needed. Look for Larry to role dice with 3 year..

1.14 Julian Javelina - SP Dan Haren hoyle is trying to move Slowey now and my thinking is he is hoping to nab a top SP with this late pick. He looks to have done it and making those trade pay off big time. Look for his 2nd 3 year to be filled here..

1.15 New Jersey Mets - TBD Will not show my hand here as I have too many in front..

1.16 ES Blacksox - 1B Billy Butler This pick has his name all over. ES not afraid to take a young one early and slap 3 year on him.. Nothing wrong here though... Will give him a well needed 1B..
