Back in Round 1

Well The Mets moved back into round 1 because of the growing concern they were not going to get any of their targets at the 2.11 spot. The deal took a bit from the Reyes/Sizemore trade. It essentially moved it from a 4th to a 7th rounder. We still feel we ended up ahead cause the players between 4 and 7 are a lot closer then between 1 and 2. This has historically been the case. Even with this draft weak.. Now Wagner needed to fill different holes and this helps him as the players he is looking at wouldnt be 1st round material.. Mets say they are not done. We have to move Ryan before the draft and might even consider taking a contract back..
