Mets Squeak By Brewers

Mets were disappointed again. In a week where they were 1SB and 1 Hold from an 8-4 win. They settled for a 6-4 win. Giving these wins will hurt in the seeding for the playoffs. Mets didn't even have 1 good player that week. This was a brutal week. Hitting .229 and a whole 4HR's. Giambi had 2HR's 3runs and 4RBI to go with 1SB but hit a big .174. Mets bats need to start waking up. The Bombers this week and then the Stuff following. This week we are facing a team that has ALL 5 SP going 2 times baring any rainouts. Going to be hard to win K's with him having 3 more starts but the Mets do have better K SP. Looking at this team we should take most of the offense if we have an avg week. Of course that is baring somebody has an Ensberg week on me again. Going to be a battle this week for sure. This is probably one of the best West teams and coming off a very good week in production.

Notes: Mets took Javy Lopez off DL this week but due to games in the NL didn't want to risk losing AB's. Also, Roberts is due to come off DL this Friday. In time for their week vs the Stuff. Mets SP Rich Harden is throwing but still a long way from coming back. Target is June. Mets made a few moves this weekend. They moved Closer Mike Gonzalez and OF Reggie Sanders to Brewers for SP Curt Schilling. The move will add some depth at SP. They lost depth in 2 areas and this might hurt later but the need to improve NOW with Harden hurting was more important. They also moved a 2nd OF in Shannon Stewart to Olivet for RP Duaner Sánchez. Top notch setup man. Under 2ERA and 7 Holds. He will strengthen a bullpen already strong. The Mets will most likely have to make som moves to offset the current ones later. Depth is now almost down to nothing. They claimed Matt Lawton in hopes he gets traded to a team that wil start him.
