Mets Disappointed in week 5 victory.

Mets SVP Reynolds stated " Up 10-2 going into Sunday all we had to do was maintain, but injuries kept half our team out on Sunday". The Mets were noting the injuries to Sanders, Mueller, Jones, and the rest of Guillen and Jenkins. Most of the time people sit but on a day where we only needed a few more AB's it was critical. The Mets still won 8-3 but didn't gain any ground really. The Mets now have a comfortable lead for a playoff bracket shot. "We know the playoffs are a long away but winning every week will guarantee a playoff chance." Reynolds commented. This week the Mets welcome the Brewers. A team that can be VERY dangerous if their players hit like last week. Some how had 9 SB's and scored 42 runs. So a team that can be a force. Yet the Mets match up well with them. Our strength seems to be their strength but we have better players. If there had to be a prediction for this week it would be 8-4 win for the Mets. Once we are healthy we will be ready to once again dominate. The mets will take a risk with Andruw Jones. Sore back and sat out yesterday. We hope he plays Tuesday. The Mets only other options were Stewart and Sanders but Sanders is iffy. We didn't need what Stewart brings. We want power. The Mets welcome Todd Helton back. He alone brought our BA and BB up every week and if he was back last week we probably won 10-2. The Mets have the Bombers on deck and a win this week facing a mediocre team could propel the Mets to top of the division once again.

Notes: Mets still looking for a SP but nothing has materialized yet. Not sure if it will.. Only people making inquires are teams that are offering average SP. Yet want the mets solid hitters. We will probably still make a move soon. Maybe, a buy low candidate. More to come next week.
