The Mets had a chance to show their dominate team this past week but they failed to show up completely. Mets SVP Reynolds made this comment. " We tip our hats to Olivet for their week." The Mets hung with them all week until the end when they lost the advantage they had with their pitching. The Mets lost to one of the top teams last week having a very good week. The Mets can hang with most teams but if they face a team in which 2 guys hit 10HR's most teams will lose. That was how it happened. They shouldn't worry about that loss. Winning every week is impossible but the fact they still showed up is enough of a reason to think against most teams the Mets would have won which is a positive. We lost our top Walk and BA guy so this will hurt but Giambi will fill in nice. Jenkins moves back to the starting lineup due to the injury. Nice that the Mets have some decent depth. Mets continue to work on their SP. Their quest for another quality arm continues. Justin was unavailable this weekend so talks hope to pick up soon. "Most teams don't want to deal with us" Said Reynolds. The growing fear is he league does not want this team to get any stronger. "We are on the verge of completing this team." Something will happen soon. This weeks opponent is Nor Cal. They had a great week last week. Hope that Nor Cal cools a little offensively. Pitching has been their weak spot. This is a team the Mets match up very well against. The amount of SP is equal unlike the last 2 weeks which means a shot at K's. The talk around management is this is an opponent they need to beat. 8-4 is what they hope. It is a possibility based on the match up.
