Mets Take Aim at Division Title

After a masterful draft in which we saw way too many unprovens go early. We soaked up the proven guys and will store them away if injury arises. Each year teams continue to reach on the breakout play but most flop. This year started with guys like Weeks, Tavarez, Lowry, Capuano, Hermida, Liriano, Cain.. All in the top 3 rounds and all should have been taken later. Yet people want to be that guy that said I told you so.. Yet of the listed players maybe 1 will earn their draft position. One year I hope the league learns about VBD well not really cause I like having the edge over the dreamers. All the guys I listed might have wonderful careers but in a contract league where every player is a temporary keeper. Their is never a reason to reach for guys acting like you will never get them again. Taking players early loses the "breakout" value. In those rounds they "have" to perform or it was a wasted pick. We reached on one player with Willingham but it was a safe pick 1 because he was taken as a backup and 2 it wasn't early for my team having so many keepers. The Mets will be back up top of the division and setup for next eyar also. So thank you teams for not properly preparing for a draft and for reaching for unprovens as starters.
