The Mets Dealing continues

The Mets continue to add new names to this team. Gearing up for the draft and filling the large holes in the OF with the depth at 3B. The Post this afternoon found out the Mets and Tigers reached an agreement. Team president Reynolds released this statement. "Today, the Mets and Tigers have agreed on a trade where we send power hitting Troy Glaus and SP Oliver Perez to Mid-Michigan Tiger's for Johnny Damon and the 12th pick in the 2006 draft. We are very excited to add Johnny to the team. We lacked the OF depth only having Magglio Ordonez their. Damon will bring us a 300+BA, 110+ runs, and 20-30SB's. This will give us 3 guys who should get us 20+ SB's and keep us in a SB running weekly." When asked about Oliver Perez Reynolds went on to say "He was somebody we acquired last year and thought he would break out but he didn't and is not struggling in the MPL". When asked what areas they are planning on targeting in the draft having now 3 1st rounders. Reynolds Responded, "I can only tell you Rich Harden is our top concern right now but we have a number of players targeted in the draft and we will use the rest of the winter meetings to position our team for the draft." The Post found out that the Mets are still in discussion with multiple teams on a number of players. The Mets look like they are trying to move Brad Radke or Brad Penny. With the Mets having a plethora of SP and looking at a SP in round 1 another move isn't out of the question. Stay tuned more news might be on the way.
